Never used uber. Haven't used a cab in 20 years.
Limos and the like, where ever puts me next to a window.

Some cabs here are adopting new tech. Being able to pay online before your ride. Also track your route to ensure quickest route and smallest fare.

That's called uber here.

My experiences with cabs in Chicago have all been shitty as well, which is why I'm not surprised in the least that uber is taking over.

In st Louis I'm batting maybe 50/50 with cabs. I started using a taxi app here that estimates the cost and let's me set up a time and shows were the cab is at, similar to uber.
