Food What's for breakfast UF?

I don't get the hate on carbs, sounds like a silly fad diet. 50 something years ago they pulled that crap with red meat.

Just moderation with everything, what's so hard to understand?

Simply because keto (low carb) diets work *extremely* well to drop weight quickly.

gf is considering keto to get over a plateau. She did (and continues to do) an awesome job on the traditional "eat right, exercise lots" way, and that got her 90% of the way there. But it stopped working for some reason, and she's been stuck to the pound for 8/9 months now.

Showed her r/keto, figured just because its so different it might help break through that plateau.

So speaking of this, anyone know if the new laws don't require products to be GMO free to be USDA certified organic? That used to be the case.
I haven't heard that, but I haven't really been watching. Sad if they allow organics to also be GMO.

And check this out, scary stuff coming up.

Edit: I know it's mostly propaganda/sensationalism but it raises some good questions. Why is there no long term safety testing done on these new technologies?

This is what it was. Wessels might enjoy it with his penchant for mixing things.

How about lucky charms and fruity pebbles?

The fact that the stuff gets into our ground water and on other stuff that isn't cooked before being consumed is the truly scary part. It makes me angry that even if I go out of my way to not eat these products I still may wind up with the chemicals in me. And the reason there is no long term safety testing done is money. I used to think these companies were just trying to make enough food for everyone using science but I no longer believe that. I believe they are just trying to make money on something that is guaranteed to be required by every person alive and they don't care what happens to those people. They are probably also invested in medicine so when all those people get cancer they cash out there too.

The true threat to groundwater is the meds that aren't getting cleaned out of geriatric piss.

Agreed. Money is at the root of it all, and if they can develop a product that will generate them long term customers... IMO the medical and agriculture industries are paving the path into oblivion under the guise of solving the world's problems.

It's probably a huge conspiracy to give everyone cancer and then sell them the drugs to treat it. Those that cannot afford the drugs fall into agenda 21's population reduction goal.

Anyways....
We found a fully sustainable organic farm about 45 minutes from us, we get a lot of our stuff there, but it would be nice if they were closer. The grass fed beef is delicious.
