I've had beer from a brewery in Krefeld called Rhenania Alt. It was pretty good. If you find any where you'll be at give it a shot.

The guy sounds super cheesy when he talks, but check out Rick Steves website on traveling Germany. I saw an episode on his Germany travels on PBS and he found some really amazing spots to visit. I love all his shows tho. He makes traveling look so easy.
