well, if the price is close, I'd get the queen. I've never heard of a Full XL, so I imagine finding the sheets would be difficult.

They are the size that's used in colleges. Finding sheets isn't too hard, but they are expensive.

Why? You don't need the extra length, so I'd think the width of a regular King would be more worth it.

I guess cause I always assumed that a California King was wider, but after reviewing Zengirl's post, a regular king would fit us better.

I had always thought that as well until we recently bought a mattress and learned the difference. I guess people in California are taller.

Fun fact.

King size waterbeds measure the same as a Cal King (72 x 84), however, when purchasing a replacement innerspring mattress it requires a special size which is 72 x 82.
