There's no conservation of energy. Spells take no effort, you just learn how to pronounce them properly and wiggle your arm around. What the fucking fuck is that about? Shit, power is assumed by someone who has the gall to go out and split his soul a couple times just because he can.

Nevermind the fact that these people have never heard of guns or any of that shit, it's a damned good thing that Voldemort hated Muggles so much, one of those crazy fuckers might've told him about anthrax or nuclear bombs or some shit

I'm watching the last movie right now.
Why the fuck did they only grab one Basilisk fang?

You're aware that if properly unleashed, the energy in your pencil (not the little one in your pants) has enough energy to boil all the oceans on earth. C² is a bitch!

Yes yes, suspension of belief, that's why I can enjoy the books as much as i actually do, but still some basics need to be taken care of

Point 1: 1:10-1:30 - you clearly see at the end his energy was consumed some.

Negative, senor
It takes effort to produce a Patronus in the face of a Dementor because the Dementors suck the life out of all they are around, if you do not produce one quickly enough they will suck your soul out of your face
Point 2: 0:58 - 1:02 Lack of intimidation of guns is not the same thing

Hagrid isn't intimidated because he doesn't know what the fuck is being pointed at him, for all he knows it's a metal wand, and who (in their world) would be intimidated by a metal wand? (everyone in that universe knows that the best are made of Ent's dicks smoked with fairy farts, and threaded through with the tendons of centaurs)
Seriously, Mr. Weasley has no clue how half the human inventions he interacts with work and his job is to specialize in Muggle/Wizard interactions. Hermione has to explain to her class what her parents do as dentists because (for all we know) wizards just magic their teeth every morning

It would be fine if that were shown in the movies or books. If some mention were made at the beginning of "Now little Harry, you need to carry around this chunk of sacrificial blahnium and periodically replenish it in order to do spells!"

That wasn't a real dementor. He was also drained from the Patronus charm itself, not anything the Boggart did.

If you had the ability to deflect things, would you really be afraid of bullets?

So for the entire series we have one spell that shows that it takes effort to use? I'd argue that it takes more effort to think of a memory happy enough to power the patronus than it takes to actually cast the spell. They've got spells that allow you to transmogrify into a column of smoke and fly all over the countryside, they've also got spells that allow you to transport yourself miles and miles away and they take no more effort than walking down the street.

In order to deflect bullets they have to have a spell ready and have to whip out a couple words and a little flourish (that's if they have a spell that will do the same thing as deflecting a bullet, with their technology level the closest they have would be a crossbow at close range). In order to shoot someone all you have to do is point and squeeze, and that's if it's a "fair" fight and they are face to face.

Had the Order of the Phoenix had a sniper and the will to use him they wouldn't have had to bother with any of that bullshit. Bullet dipped in Basilisk poison? Nagini is now a long tube of meat flopping around, no more horcrux
