What about your country/state/town do you like most?

I don't love America so much. I love Canada and I really do miss living there.

However, I do LOVE Portland, OR (where I live).

I love all the damn dirty hippies that live here.
How easy it is to buy local, organic, etc.
Oregon's awesome breastfeeding laws, and how no one would blink an eye if you whipped out your boob to feed.
The scenery. My house has an awesome view of Mt. Hood. Nothing like seeing snow covered mountains in July when it's 80 degrees.
All the awesome festivals, street art fairs, etc.
The Oregon Zoo
Downtown period (especially the Pearl District)
How bike friendly this city is.
Good coffee & Beer
Powell's Books

I would love to live in Portland. However, I think the change would be too much of a shock for me.

i've heard nothing but the best about it. Fort Worth is using Vancouver and Portland as its models of urban development. We sent a panel of city council members up there a couple months ago to review the Portland street car with a mind towards developing one in Fort Worth.

I'd definitely consider living in Portland if I could ever find work there. Anyone advertising for a math geek?
