Point of interest: SSMB is one of the only Wii games that is dual layered, and it has problems playing from any kind of known backup solution.

also, i created a profile on my dad's wii. is it true that i can use the profile on other people's wiis? how do i "put it out there" so i can use it wherever i am?

You can transfer it to be inside your wii remote somehow, I don't remember how though.

You can make any miis you want to travel in your wii remote. My friend was bringing his over then went ahead and just sent me some of miis using the friend code.
