That is a fucking fantastic idea, and perhaps the first law-enforcement scheme I've seen in recent years that I agree 100% with.

IMO car thieves should be castrated, then shot in the knees before being made to crawl accross a sandy desert.

In the case of the video WAW pointed out. It would have been funny to hotwire the car, and take it from him, then when the criminal looks around dumbfounded, arrest him.
