so what car(s) did your parents have when you were kids? we're watching magnum PI, and the 80s had some uuuugly cars. :fly:

we had some huuuuge chrysler or buick or something like that. dad also had some ford? truck...i LOVED that truck.

A pinto, A Nova, a monza, a mustang, a gaudy ford LTD, and a big ass all white Pontiac Bonneville my mom called 'The Pimp Mobile', and other various wrecks.

Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Truck (it was literally model designation "truck"), Plymouth Minivan, Dodge Minivan.

Dodge got rearended after 11 years of service and now they use my chevy POS 4 door.

Hey, it was Minnesota. In the 70's and 80's. With the exception of a few cities, the entire country was a bunch of hicks.

It's only been in the last 20 years shit has really started to change.

All because of Miami Vice.

Oh and a 1984 diesel ford escort that was the first car I ever remember riding in.

A late 1960s Volkswagen Beetle, a mid 1970s Ford Granada, an early 1980s blue Volvo station wagon, a late 1980s Dodge Caravan, and a late 1980s Chevy Blazer.

my dad had a buick park avenue, and then a chrysler concorde which ended up being a total piece of crap. these days he's rockin' an Acura TL. my mother had an oldsmobile cutlass supreme, but it got stolen a month after she got it, on her third day of work at Brown. she replaced that with a chevy celebrity station wagon and had that for almost 10 years. she got an oldsmobile silhouette when i went to college, and now has a toyota sienna LE (or whatev). sadly my parents have no decent taste in cars and enjoy running them into the ground :p

jeep grand wagoneer back when they were all steel massive tanks, audi fox, bmw 320i, subaru wagon, subaru gl-10, sedan deville

My dad had most cheap cars known to man. We lived on a rough estate so they got stolen at least once a month. The stupidest one he ever got was this huge green Jag, cost a ton in petrol just to get me to school and back.

i want a green jag there i said it.

The ones I remember are a minivan of some sort, a pontiac grand prix, a dodge intrepid, then a dodge stratus. They also bought this insanely huge 11 person brown van when my older sisters started to learn to drive. We drove it to visit my grandparents once (the only vehicle we had that actually had seatbelts for everyone) but my mom refused to ever actually drive it, so we mostly just squeezed the 8 of us in the 6 person intrepid (bench seat, 3 in front, 5 in back). They made my older sisters drive the van to school until it died.
