When I play a divx file on my HTPC, it won't play the audio. I can play it on my desktop without any problems. I have all the same codecs installed and I tried a many other options. When I click the info in Winamp to see what the deal is, it shows no audio decoder. wtf? I looked at the file on my HTPC with 'AVI CODEC ANALYSER' and it shows that I have the correct codecs. I used a couple of players and I get the same problem with all of them. The weird thing is that it has problems with no other files. Just these video files encoded by this one group. very strange.

why would a i buy a tivo to hack? I have an htpc. besides, it prolly wouldn't play it either.

because it will work, unlike your htpc.
