Vegas for the solo traveler

I will be leaving tomorrow morning to go to Vegas for 8 days.

Every time I have visited Vegas before, I've been with a friend or group so I've never really had to choose things to do to entertain myself.

I would like for you all to give me suggestions on what to do with my free time while I'm there. Things that are good to do as a loner and that won't make me broke after 2 days are preferred.

Also, I've got a double queen room from Friday through next Friday if anybody wants to make a last minute trek out there on impulse. PM me and I'll give you my cell #.
 
What I'd really like here are suggestions to shows that you all might have seen before that you liked, spots that were fun to hang out, good places to eat. What do you all do that you enjoy while you are there?

One thing I know I will do is to go hang out at the Piano Bar at the NYNY hotel. That was a fun spot last time I was there.
 
I have this business card that I got from somebody(cant name them) for when I go to Vegas. It is a limo driver that will pick me up and get me absolutely anything I want at any moment, haha. Its like a Get-Fawked-Up In Vegas free card, lol

Never been to Vegas so I am only in here for Hookers and Blow, sorry bud :fly:
 
Do shit that's fun. In other words, not casinos or hotels.

I'd suggest getting naked and running screaming through the tranquil desolation of the American Outback that is the surrounding desert in search of yourself.

There is a great car museum that you can find free tickets for. Awesome cars if you are into that.

Chim and I went to Vegas for 4 days without gambling. Lots of walks. hoover Dam for the day. NY NY rides. Things like that can be soloed.

Stay in your hotel room and wack off vigorously?

the coaster at NYNY is pretty cool, did that last time and will probably do it again if they give me a free ticket for staying there (i'm there the first night and at MGM the rest of the week)

I'm going to try to do a Dam tour and a grand canyon tour while there. Maybe one if the Cirque shows if I feel like spending some money.

As for the wacking off...if I come home from a bloody nub of a wang after being in las vegas for a week I don't think blondie would be terribly impressed. At the very least she would wonder about me.
 
I really like the Cirque show "Ka" - its about $100 or so, but its a good show. Both the piano bar and the irish pub in NYNY are must visits. There's a chill kinda cowboy-ish bar in the Montecarlo that actually has reasonably priced drinks, so i go there when i'm down. There's the Star Trek museum in the Hilton (i think?), hoover dam, and other things that people have mentioned. Asking the Consierge (sp?) at your hotel is a good way to find interesting things to do and if you do gamble some try asking the dealers, etc for things to do - a lotta times they'll get their hotel Hosts to hook you up with stuff to do...
