Discussion in 'useless chatter' started by water, Feb 21, 2013.

  1. Oh because everything you watch is totally compelling TV that everyone universally likes

  2. Fuck that. I'm all about Under The Gunn right now.

  3. I will totally work my way through that at some point

  4. It's taking me a while to get into the format, but it has Tim Gunn so who gives a shit

    YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!

Yeah sorry school, you so aren't getting done today.

  6. She posts!

  7. School?

  8. watched the first ep of House of Cards.. its different. Way different.

Netflix sure does do shows uniquely from network tv where the pilot has to cram in all the main characters and entire plot into the first episode

  9. They dont have to worry about being cancelled mid-season , or hitting a massive home-run on the first episode.

  10. yep. I like it.

Allows the story and characters to evolve more naturally, like a book.

  11. The way a good story should, regardless of delivery medium.

  12. Yeah, part of the reason I hardly post anymore is the 18 credits I'm taking this semester. Needless to say, I'm a little short on free time.

  13. :highfive: for education. What are you pursuing?

  14. Making thermite grenades with which to kill robots.

  15. healthy competition (and warfare) breeds improvement. I welcome the opportunity to upgrade my armor plating.

    Im thinking a ceramic nanocoating.

  16. Business Management. After I get my bachelors I'll decide if I need more schooling and what to Master in.

  17. 10-4

Recommend an dual-degree MBA strongly. One masters in your specialty, one MBA.

  18. MBAs are damn expensive, so there better be a good reason to get one. Like "Will I make at least 25-grand per year more?"

  19. if you want to go to a fancy pants top 10 school and then go work in finance, fuck yes they are. If you want to gain solid business strategic knowledge, to run a small to medium business, and can grab one from a "lesser" school, you'll still gain a lot.

  20. in before exclusionist argument that an MBA not from Wharton is worthless.
