Ted Lasso is a nice feel-good show. I was looking for the next Parks and Rec/Goodplace/etc and thought Rutherford Falls might be it, but its just not. Ted Lasso isnt precisely the same, but its a lot closer in terms of all the characters just being really likeable.

Ted Lasso was great. It made me feel good, which is pretty cool on its own, but it was well done too. My brother was avoiding it because he’s not a “fan of sport” so I convinced him to forget that futbol is part of the show.

I can’t think of too many shows that I watched just because they made me feel good.

"Sweet Tooth" - feels very much like a spin-off from "Zoo", starring the very large Nonso Anozie from Zoo. It's sweet and sappy at times - little kids who are half animal, half human? Just adorbs. Of course, Trumper-like people hate them and want to kill them. No spoilers, that stuff is all in the description you'd read while picking a show. Ah - first episode the writers triggered me with bad forward/back chronology but telling history can be messy. Story levels out in 2nd episode and flies straight AF - once Nanso appears on the scene. ;)

"Lupin" - French show, well-dubbed by Netflix. Black "everyman" Lupin is a "gentleman burglar". He's plain looking almost to the point of being unattractive but he's not "Bad" looking so people don't remember him. He's very clever, he has a score to settle and assholes to bring down. Light and fun - a cross between (modern)Sherlock Holmes and a Jason Statham flick. Minus the fighting - Lupin is too slick to get into a fist fight unless it's part of his act. You could watch it with a kid - no sex, one death by strangle and swears are at a minimum, like the bad guy says "son-a bitch".
