TransfoaMERS? More like TransfoaMEHS, amirite?

The thing is, stuff you can read everywhere doesn't do much to dispell the differences in real life and the movie/graphic novel.

Even the History Channel didn't.

So if you can point me to something I can read more about it, I'd appreciate it.

oy yeah, I view the history channel like wikipedia. great place to get introduced to a subject and point you to some references but there's a good chance a third of the information is outdated or just plain wrong

I'll rifle through an old bookmarks folder to see if I can find anything pertinent but they're kind of old. I'd never heard of this battle until I learned of the phrase "molon labe" from gun owners and wanted to know what it meant. I should be amazed that they don't teach this stuff in school but then again...

anyhoo, until I find something jawesome the further reading section of the wiki article has some interesting suggestions :o

it's an energon axe, it always has been :o just happend to look like a sword this time

Nah, it was changed for the purposes of the movie to be named "The Michael Bay Blade Thing Of Awesomeness Brought To You By Michael Bay".

I watched the HBO First Look episode on the movie and I do have to say it's cool that they have a truck with an exterior roll cage and cameras so they can ram into cars for those highway scenes...they call it the Bay Buster :p

also, shia laboueoueouef mentioned that during filming they'd have a camera on the ground and it would be encased in a clear bullet proof case and he'd have to film the scene with his face right next to the camera and he kept asking the question "why does the camera get a bulletproof shield and i don't? o_O"

I like that kid, I hope he does more movies.

I watched Transformers as a kid, but I don't remember any of the technical details of the show these days - I enjoyed the movie

I paid $10 to watch robots fight and blow things up. The only complaint I have about that part is the overuse of shakeycam. Part of the movie almost made me seasick.

But the rest of it doesn't bug me at all. Yes, it was lame as fuck, but they could have spliced in Lizzie McGuire scenes and I wouldn't have cared.

And I have to say -- Casino Royale?! Come on! That movie is even more of the epitome of the "Awesome action in between heaping piles of drivelling bullshit" type of movie. "You've seen what I can do with my little finger." :tard:

:fly: @ people who pay for movies.

There was one bit of incredible technical accuracy in the movie that surprised me. When Tyrese calls in for close air support from the AC-130 gunship he refers to it as Spooky and requests 105 shells. I'm guessing Michael Bay saw one of those and just had to stick it in the movie.

I was actually impressed that they called in the Spectre and the A-10s, one of the better parts of the movie.

Well according to the documentary, they had the most support from the US Military that any movie has ever had.
