We Lemon Law'd a Ford last year.

It's true...Ford's a dirty whore...except for the sweet 80s Escort EXP...what a tiger that thing was...

Ahhh.... the 80's. When Escorts and Mustangs were the same, damn car. Good times... goooood times....

There's a huge thread about this on ar15. People are arguing on the side of "Toyota makes a good, solid car" or "OMGWTF BUY AMERICAN! FORD 4EVA!!"

My stance: Ford makes an Ok large truck/SUV, but their cars are absolute trash longterm.

April, when was the last time Ford won anything where the vehicle wasn't put together entirely by hand and had no connection to Ford beyond them being a sponsor?

My ZX2 has been trouble free, except for normal consumerables of course but alas im thinking about doing a trade in a few months from now and that car will likely be a Toyota. Im sorry but in my price range Ford dosn't have anything thats worth it. If they brought over the real Focus, not just a restyled copy of the same car like they have now but the ones in the UK that is the same as a S40 or a Mazda 3 then maybe.

Depending on how much of a discount we get from work I may consider a 3, but otherwise "What a Feeling, Toyota!"

The new slogan is "Moving Forward." Just fyi. Those marketing whores were right though... "what a feeling" does still have tremendous recognition value even 10 years after the campaign.

I just did it because I figure everyone knows it.

There was a running discussion about the beating GM and Ford is getting at SA today. I came up with the idea that one of the biggest reasons domestics are having trouble is because both Toyota and Honda spent money early on in the gas crisis saying how they had a ton of fuel efficient cars. For at least six months neither Ford or GM stepped up and said that they did too and they both kept on pushing SUVs in their ads. Hell you can still kind of argue that Ford still hasn't said much of anything at all about their mileage.

To back it up, I meantioned how Nissan's sales are down as well for the year because they spent most of it talking about the Titan and their overall image. while Toyota best year ever was last year and Honda only has lower sales in Acura and are overall ahead as well.

It's not about what's on the inside, it's what's on the outside that counts.
