German Ales?! As in Bass? LOL

What are some names? I am sure I have tried them before. I love me some beer.

I'll give you styles.

Weizen wheat beer with yeast

Dunkleweizen a dark wheat beer

Hefeweizen wheat beer with a double batch of yeast

Krystalweizen which is a wheat beer with the yeast strained out

Good German breweries
Ayinger
Weihenstephaner (the best IMHO)
Franziskaner (second best)
Julius Echter
Paulaner
Erdinger

I yet to have a good German Ale that was brewed in the USA. Yes Drool that includes Shiner. :fly:

I don't drink often, but I'm fond of Erdinger myself.

Have you ever had Leffe?

Those all sound really good. I have had many a Hefeweizen, but I believe they were all brewed in the US at small brewing companies.

I need to get my hands on some real german beer.

dream, if you're interested in meeting a bunch of us and have Friday off, you're more than welcome to ride up to ATL with April23 and myself.

Next time you all have a meet, I will so go. I would love to meet some new folks and have some fun.
