oh no Something you saw coming/chronic illness?

It's just a whole mess of things, but yeah. He's almost 18 and been in poor health most of his life. Right now, he's got kidney disease which means he has to drink and pee a lot. He's got pretty bad arthritis, which means when he pees, he can't get down low enough to get it all in the litter box. He's also got dementia, and seems to wake up terrified a lot. And finally, his teeth are fucked, making eating tough.

It's time and I fucking hate it.

17, Steve was 17.75... he pre-dated me so that also makes it rough because he was always a constant in our relationship.
