This is a serious question, not an asshole one.

Do people like you who obviously IM/text message a lot (given your lack of capitilization, punctuation, and use of the ellipsis) use different forms of typing when in professional settings?

I've found that some of my wife's students (high schoolers) will email her as though it is a text message. It does not come accross well and causes her (and me) to not respect the student as much.

Thoughts from you and anyone else?

Also, do you recognize that it is harder to read paragraphs typed it such a manner, or have you gotten used to it and can read it the same?

The irony is devastating.

also im a big fan of hunter s. thompson and fear and loathing in las vegas. i am currently reading his book kingdom of fear. I procrastinate alot mostly on my work.. and try to save it all for the last minute. Im big into movies and some of my favorites are fear and loathing in las vegas, a clockwork orange, slc punk, and others im a cancer.. and a bit of a conspiracy theorist and i like to entertain myself with the idea that 9/11 was set up by our own gov. Im into urban exploration and graffiti. I listen to everything from rap to classical, only exception is country music which i hate. I believe that everyone should try a psychedelic drug once in there lives...

thats all iv got.

I think you and I have a lot of similar interests. Welcome! I disagree with everyone trying a psychedelic once in their lives though. There are those that just shouldn't go there.

Well, then I would say you might be missing something. I think those that shouldn't go there are ones with mental illness. Are you mentally unstable?

My thing is that I might be mentally unstable and I wouldn't know it until I came out of a trip with poo smeared all over the walls, brown lips, and an upset stomach.

I don't think that's the only issue that goes into it.

If I am perfectly happy with my mind how it is, why should I need to take a mind altering drug? Isn't that just perpetuating the cycle of never being happy with things the way they are?

I could always being "missing something" in everything I do. That's life. If I never accept that fact, I'll never be happy.

Using drugs isn't always about the pursuit of happiness. Sure it's fun sometimes, but it's also about getting a different perspective, at least for me. Yes, you could always be missing something, but if you have the opportunity not to miss it, why miss it?

But who says that by trying it I'm not missing something else?

It gets into personal choice. If I don't want to ever have anal sex, I shouldn't do so. Sure, it might provide me with a different perspective on sex, but if I don't care or like vaginal sex, then what's the difference?

Hi Cartoon...! Your history precedes you.

Tell me, after that show of a general adversity to figuring even the most basic of things out on your own, how would this forum be bettered by your presence?

Edit:

my screen resolution is dark, i have an old moniter :( but.. after taking a closer look i realized that it was the wallpaper and not the actual screen. sorry bud.
