8" diameter plate, which is almost the max capacity if my lil lathe
White wood is curley maple, the star is oak and mesquite
Finished with tung oil & high-polish friction wax
The star pattern was a pain in the ass to build

I do like that mesquite. Finishes up real nice and not too hard to work with.
