I once saw antique road show value some piece of "mid century modern" butt ugly piece of furniture like that stupidly high.
The reason it was so high is those comically small and useless little legs had broken off most of the guys designs over the years but theirs still had all 4 legs.

Like hey this one is worth a lot of money because it's the only one that hasn't fallen apart yet.
People have gotten away from cluttering the center of the room.

That table is hideous. Is this a picture from 1968 Time magazine? Where is the 25" TV that should be sitting on it. And WTF is with that white "Window" in the side of the table? Looks like the vent window you stick in a glass block window. Holy fuck is that atrocious.
That place has ugly flower pots - I'd never buy from people with such poor taste.
this is mid century piece (timelesssss)
the window is not "white" is a brushed nickel TYPE of detail
the TV (60inch) hangs on the wall not on the unit (its 2020 Gramps)
the plant is hideous. agreed

retail @ $1599

$1599 for a piece of pressboard garbage veneered to look like walnut?

I guess there's one born every minute.

Too busy. Wicker and wood is fine - the (inorganic) geometric panel clashes. From a decorating standpoint.
It's meant to distract your eye from the fact that whoever did the "Nightmare brought to you by robocop's nocturnal emissions" wallpaper ran out about 2" above the moronic "wish I was tall enough to be wainscoting" mouldings.

Mid-century. More like 1972. About 1980 by the time it was in a thrift store for $35. If it had 4 legs. That matched.;)
Ding-dong, I meant there would be a TV on it back in the day. {face palm}

"Brushed nickel type" - is that code for aluminum?
It's not the plant's fault it's growing up in a shitty neighborhood.
