I had amazon send me a 100 foot roll of geotextile rather than a 600 foot roll once. I took the high road and told them.

They told me to keep the 100 foot roll, and immediately sent out the 600 foot roll. Oh, and refunded me for the 100ft roll.

They did the same thing with a 2 inch billet of uhmw. sent me a 1ft one rather than a 6ft one. Same deal as above. Keep it, full refund, sent the right one.

Anyone else would waste 3 hours of your time and somehow end up fucking you out of a product.

I tried to buy a "deal" from best buy a couple weeks back, price matching to a local microcenter. Took almost 3 fucking hours.

Flat out refusal to follow their clear process due to laziness
"system errors"
general incompetence and whataboutism
refusing to take a phone call with corporate who was advising them to process the order

I ended up placing the order for pick up in store from corporate, while standing in front of them with the item in my hand.
The order went through, they got, and then issued this bullshit line:

"wait 30 minutes, we have to pull the item, its the way the system works"


i had a strong desire to burn the store down.

I've worked at a Best Buy too... they also are just as shitty as RadioShack. Fuck those guys.
 
^ & ^^ - this is why I didn't bother contacting Grainger over their stupid mistake. Michigan law requires them to have accurate scanning, the burden isn't on the consumer to correct their f'n mistake. Admittedly, I was pretty stoked at having 5' extra feet vs 1' ordered - sure I'll find a use.
 
We stole porn service for a few years. Totally passive: Comcast didn't put the filter on my cable line, my sons (9 & 12ish) brought it to my attention when I caught them watching in middle of the night. Little feckers blew it for all of us when the wife caught them a few weeks later.

My cousin and I back in the day bought a hat from our old mall. They left the tag on and the alarm didn't go off. Next day we stole a shit ton of stuff. We were dumb and thought hey if that alarm doesn't work none of these other stores alarms will. We walked into another store at the mall and the alarm went off. We took off running but had to wait for my dad to pick us up.

We hid behind the mall like where semi's would park to unload stock. All of a sudden a security guard comes and yells "Hey kids you can't be back here go around to the front of the mall" and then he left. We thought we were so fucked when we seen him. My dad picked us up 10 minutes later.
