This might help, it's an amp rating vs. distance for a 6V system:So here's the wiring diagram for my outboard. I'm missing a fair amount of stuff for it, so I'm just going to make a portable bench starter setup.
Cutting out the choke solenoid, choke switch, and mercury switch.
I'm wondering if I should setup a fuse between the battery and solenoid. Thoughts? If so, size of the fuse?
Nice ass, fam.Bought @AppleTurkey a new 2017 Golf Alltrack wagon. After doing a compression test on the Infiniti, I knew it was time to offload it before something bad occurred.

This one is a 2017, with 60k miles, at the SE trim with everything except big wheels and HIDs. Automatic, 1.8t, AWD.

rest of the drivetrain rated for that big of an increase? So the original Tecumseh motor in my 1990 lawn tractor is burning oil worse and worse, and all signs point to it being the valve guides. It's a common problem with the engine, cylinder heads are rare as hell and expensive since Tecumseh is long out of business, and changing the guides/valves isn't worth the $$ either.
In the meantime I've been topping up the oil and dealing with the big blue cloud on startup, and waiting for a suitable engine to pop up on FB marketplace.
Scored this beast today.
Didn't come with an exhaust but I can just screw a couple of universal NPT mufflers into it. The old engine has a combined throttle/choke lever on the side of the engine, this one has separate throttle/choke controls on the front, so I gotta lengthen the throttle cable and add a separate pull choke.
12HP -> 20.5HP should also mean the thing bogs down a little less mowing uphill.

The Infiniti's only "modification" was when I welded the compressor clutch to the pulley because the clutch died and there was no direct replacement, just a $1200 compressor that I was expected to replace.Come on you gotta do something to it don't break your streak now.
