Hmmm..there is a plant shelf behind this bookcase so the plank would be floating abovee it. Is that a fashion no-no?
I like verandas more than mezzanines, personally. unless it's a mezzanine veranda of course. a portico is always nice as well.
Are you sure it's not merely a 10 story atrium 14ft away? Far less impressive ( although further away) if so.

So I've been meaning to make some bookshelves for our place since we moved into it. I started to make some. Twice. I didn't like how they turned out. I saw these in a magazine and these seemed cool, and a lot easier than the ones I was originally building. Sweet!
