It's chairs and cat food stuff that I would have to pick up every night.. That's half the part of sweeping already.

Chairs are no problem. Neither is cat food, unless you just put wet cat food on the floor for them to eat.

our sweeper bot gets between the chairs just fine, and pushes the animal food dishes around sometimes
mostly it gets too far from base when the batterys about done and we have to have a house-wide search to find it. Usually its either under a bed somewhere or just parked in the middle of a random room.

Fly likes the super smart ones that map and are quick and efficient, i like the roombas for their ability to pick stuff up better especially on carpet

Mine seems to have an fault in its whining module that causes persistent complaining anytime work is present

My more capable offspring don't live with me. The 5yo twins are useless at sweeping at this point. I feel good when thye actually take their shoes off at the door.

Have you tried beer? It seems to deactivate that particular module.

You can reset the whine module by using the phrase "I'll give you something to whine about."

We just have had totally different experiences. My Xioami works fantastic on carpet. Same with my friend who has 2 Gen 2s.

theyre not supposed to go over an edge, so itll turn around at the stair ledge

yeah, the edge/fall sensors are ancient tech, it wont fall off no matter how hard you try to make it.
