well screw you then.
yeah, the whole idea that the frosh are all products of the 90s scares the crap out of me. they look so....young...it also means i have to be careful who i look at too, a lot of these guys are WAY too young :p

i couldn't even be bothered putting up with their yammering long enough to even try pulling them

my social life this year will consist of rowing and the odd run abroad, im 21 and done with nightclubs, pubs and other cack..

you keep on your happy trail though love

I ordered and installed a new Dell Precision workstation for a client of mine today. What a seksi computer this is. 24" widescreen Dell monitor + fast as hell Quad core cpu + 4gb of ram. For the drafting employee to run AutoCAD 2009. Holy shit did AutoCAD install quickly. Like 5mins if that. I had to wipe drool off the desk.

I found out the AutoCAD my client (yes get ready with the headslap.gif) purchased on eBay was totally pirated from a seller who had no feedback and just registered with ebay and was selling the software for $1400. Fortunately the customer hadn't paid for the software yet, and (for some reason) the eBay pirate seller gave my client his phone number to call him and get the license key. Then the guy e-mails my client a keygen for the AutoCAD software LOL!!! What balls this guy has. I called the pirate back and tried to get him to give me a straight answer about the pirated software. He didn't. Called Autodesk but they said their auth servers are down so they cannot verify keys today. wtf crazy day.
that's pretty much what i'm running, except i still have two older Dell 21" trinitron CRT's and my quad core is a few months old so it's probably slower.

ACAD 2009 is sweeeeeet. I totally love the new menu bar. It has some of the same genes as the Office 2007 title bars, but better.

switch. you'll love it. the menus are less intrusive than they were in 08, which is fantastic since i'm primarily a keyboarded anyway.

the other big bonus is that everything is more intuitive. i'm using features that i'm sure were available in '08, but they're so much easier now. makes everything go faster.

the only pain in the ass is the customize user interface stuff, but once you get it set you don't have to deal with it again.

oh, and drawing a circle with tan-tan-tan is nice. i never saw that in '08.

They brought up a big "portable" a/c unit to try and help us out up here.
The thing is the size of 3 filing cabinets pushed together.
Considering its size, its of remarkably little help.
Its quite tho, so its got that going for it.
