"The practice began as a variant of an earlier prank called duckrolling, in which a link to a popular celebrity or news item would instead lead to a photoshopped picture of a duck with wheels. By May 2007[2], the practice had become widespread, and it eventually began to receive some coverage in the mainstream media.[3][4][1]"

Thanks, still doesn't explain why it is supposed to be funny though.
it's funny because it's an internet inside joke, except now it's grown to include the mainstream, which means that somewhere the next big internet inside joke is brewing. basically they're funny because you get it. if you laugh you're included.

What if I get it, but I never laughed and thought it was stupid?

And actually, it's a combination of CLEP, DANTES, and ECE (Their own exams, which are available throughout the country) exams. It looks like you can completely test out of a generic Liberal Arts degree with just those exams. A BS in Business requires one TECEP exam, which is more money than the others - but still cheaper/quicker than a class.

Did you take this route? This may be the way for stubborn me.
