Holy jeeze that is a big grasshopper. That could eat a tree over night .

heheh I love these guys.

I have 4 that visit my station at the track regularly. The one in the 1st pic .. almost let me touch him with the camera lens inthat pic .. I was that close to him. HE never moved, just sat real still and watched me real closely. And as soon as I moved back he just went back to doing this..

If I could figure out a treat to bring them lol .. I would.

Stop by your local hobbie shop/pet store and pick up some super worms. You can usually feed them by hand because the worms are super tempting. I would try to feed it with a stick first and slowly start using smaller lengths until you can use your hand. Ive done this before with untamed reptiles and kept them as house pets for years. Usually though it depends on the nature of the reptile from the beginning. I tried to tame a Veiled Chameleon once and my hand looked like a badly clamped piece of flesh. I finally gave up on him, just to painful of bites and after a year I had no progress. They all have there own characteristic's and if he let you get that close with a camera I am sure it could be tamed.

Or you could just get a plate of meal worms and bring it out to them each day with a little grass or something to hide the plate. Sometimes even untamed lizards will jump straight onto your hand for a super worm. You might be suprised how tame they already could be.
