I'd slash and burn the govt down to a couple match sticks if it were up to me but we are stuck with making the choice between the lesser of two evils unfortunately...imo the scales are heavily lopsided in this contest

Well, that's your ( entirely incorrect :p ) opinion.

I fully expect checks in the mail from all of you Obama voters that are gonna cost me money down the road however++ :fly:

According to the Obama site, Those making over $250k a year combined will get an increase, that's all I need to know.

And according to your chart, McCain will be giving those making over 115k a bigger cut

That's closer to my heart than the 250k barrier at the moment.
if your household brings in over 250k per year, you are rich by any national standard you care to mention. i am flabbergasted that you continue to insist that you are not. the income distribution page on wikipedia doesn't have separate categories over 250k because it represents so few people, it just lists 250k+.

you have succeeded. deal with it.

we all love you for your success! thank you for being so generous and doing such good for your country! you may not have people walk up to you on the street to thank you because they don't know your name, but there are people whose prayers you are answering on a daily basis.

i have no idea how that can leave you feeling pissy.

You'll never get it :dont:

I AM NOT FUCKING RICH

And notice my edit? Not there yet, but I imagine being there someday - but the cuts with McCain are more than Obama for over 115k.
that's because mccain is trying to pay all his rich cronies, while obama is trying to do what's right for the country. :fly:

Now you're being an ass.

This is precisely why I stopped arguing with people before.

I'm not answering anyones prayers, I'm being robbed by leeches.

It would be nice if we could shift to something like a fairtax but it will never happen at this point.

I love some of the items added to the bailout.

Sec. 308: Increase in limit on cover over of rum excise tax to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Sec. 310: Extension of mine rescue team training credit.

Sec. 315: Accelerated depreciation for business property on Indian reservations.

Sec. 317: Seven-year cost recovery period for motorsports racing track facility.

Sec. 319: Extension of work opportunity tax credit for Hurricane Katrina employees.

Sec. 322: Tax incentives for investment in the District of Columbia.

Sec. 325: Extension and modification of duty suspension on wool products; wool research fund; wool duty refunds.

Sec. 401: Permanent authority for undercover operations [as related to tax provisions].

Sec. 502: Provisions related to film and television productions.

Sec. 503: Exemption from excise tax for certain wooden arrows designed for use by children.
