Seriously, how is being "spoken" to going to persuade you to not swear? You should never allow a child to swear at a teacher, all manner of respect is now gone and they won't treat them well at all, let alone learn anything.

When I was in school they had JUST gotten rid of paddling, but a few of the 'old hands' still grabbed kids by the ear and dragged 'em down to the office
