Hay guys, the motor in my table saw has died
Its a delta 36-979 , its about 15 years old. Checked all the obvious stuff, plugs, fuses etc
Found one guy that had an OEM motor but wants about 700 bucks
Is there someplace I can get an equivalent for a reasonable price?
Nice saw. I'd suggest seeing if there is a rebuilding place around you. Someone might make it like new for half that. Look for a place that advertises they do all sorts of re-winds. They should know what they are doing.

The parts diagram I saw online looks like you could mount just about any motor there, assuming the shaft is the right size for the pulley.

I'd look at AO Smith motors, as they seem to last (got a 5HP one on my air compressor that's just the tits), and aren't super expensive.

Did you upgrade? I remember you having a huge old table saw with like zero in the way of safety gear on it.
