Electrolytic rust removal kicks ass. These augers looked like the shave plate I've got them hung from when I first started. Wire wheeled them, did 12 hours of electrolysis, wire wheeled them again and they're going in for a second round.
Other two augers are already done, using the same method. Got the etch primer mostly cleaned off the old housing and they're now primed using proper primer.
If you dig into them a bit, the outer edges of the board were less accurate due to trig issues at the far ends, but being that it is open source I think that's been solved by now.
