Texas is doomed!

i'm worried about those Houstonians. Y'all are well above 21 feet right? I want to hear you're all at least 20 miles inland.

yeah were about 35 miles from the coast and where were at is 30ft above sea level. Our zip code isnt even mandatory evac. All the maps Ive seen show the storm surge going around us.
Im sure well be ok.

Yeah so that storm of 1900 in Galveston. It also beat out Katrina in damage and deaths by a large margin. So bad there is a memorial for it there.

A memorial... like a war memorial. About that many people died. Geezus.

Stay safe all of you Texans.

Don't do anything stupid like my mother and grandfather did in the 1938 Hurricane. They went to Wollaston Beach to look at the storm. :fly:

the Ursuline Sisters at St. Mary's orphanage tied their charges to lengths of clothesline to keep them together as they attempted to flee their seaside home. They were found drowned, still tied together.

Again, nothing fun like this ever happens in Arizona. Although yesterday we did have a dust storm, but I can't in good conscience kill looters over a dust storm.

I have an aunt that won an emmy as a producer of the show 48 hours for staying in charleston and filming all of hurricane hugo which decimated the city...now every news channel does it for every hurricane
