oooh... not to throw bad news back in the mix, but when does that 8k credit run out? isn't it up already?

and i'll end on a positive note, if you two were married, he wouldn't have been eligible. :D
 
oh, its been extended until april 2010

apparently there's a repeat homebuyers credit now too of $6500, so you're good to go either way dbzeag

Well here's positive:

Chim could buy the house as a new home buyer. He would then qualify for the $8000 credit. Interest rates are lower here, too, so that would be lovely. His already-awesome credit rating would be even better, and we would live in a glorious home!
