That's most likely the tablet I'm going to go with. Was able to play with one for a few days. I liked it a lot.

loaded ICS on it this morning
it is pure awesome

I seriously doubt it has IR. So the answer is yes, if you wanna buy a ton of home automation gear.

I can remote my DVR if I want to plug it into the internets, and I think theres a few other apps that are device specific remotes, but as a general universal remote, I dont think so
