WTF Superbowl Sunday thread

I ran into a friend of mine from my last base today. Conversation:

Him: "So what are you doing for the game?"
Me: "Game?"
Him: "... the Super Bowl?"
Me: "Oh, is that today? I'm not much of a sports person."

No reason to ask. They can tell.

some kind of silly game kept interrupting the semi-interesting commercials, so i finally signed up for here and had some beer. that seemed to keep me interested.

I agree. Also I was not impressed with the halftime show. The Who are just too old and sound too bad to be doing their stuff from the 60's still. I would say if CBS wanted to stay safe from the costume defects, they should go with Bruce Springsteen but then again he has done it many times before and he is getting tired, too.

That is usually the best part of the game, actually. That's why just the air time for a 30 sec spot is $3 mill. The commercials themselves cost quite a bit to make some of them, too.

Yeah my dad was saying companys actually make ads specifically for the superbowl. We either watched them standing round, watched the cheer leaders or went back to the English studio when it was first down etc.

all of the a.b. in-bev budweiser commercials were completely horrible this year. only the clydesdale and bull one was ok.
