I wasn’t commenting on wasting money. I was disagreeing with your assessment that adding a B to a P bass would be like Spector spacing.

It's worth it for the brain part with the effects. Can run that into whatever. It doesn't have to be a 15 watt guitar amp.

There's a head phone out that's labeled "phones/record" I plan on trying that out. I'll need a guitar first. If it sounds good through my pa that would be dope.

Won't hurt anything to stick your bass in there into headphones or your computer. Some of it might sound good if they didn't filter out a bunch of LF in the modeling.

I want the physical strength to move my Mesa Boogie head everywhere I want to play it. Because the power amp and preamp that are inside of it create a tone and attack that are perfect. I need no pedals to get the tone that I need. With that head. But it's very heavy.

I would make a bet of almost $100 (maybe let's say $96 cuz I'm a Jew) that I can hand the bass to someone and lie and say it's an active bass and they believe it.

Is the output switched to line level instead of instrument level on the sansamp?

It's actually perfectly matched to my Tom Martinson. Different pickups, different parts, different signal. The Tom Martinson sounds crappy on its own but into the sansamp it sounds great.
