Ontopic String's and Adi's gear & pedal thread

I bought two Schecters a month apart in 2010 or so. One was a Diamond P5, the other a Model T. The Model T was made in China.

I would’ve put that bass up against any US Fender as far as quality went.
 
Well, yes and no. Not authentic, but luthiers developed a finish called "vintage tint". It's basically the same as what happened to nitrocellulose maple after 40 years of second hand smoke.
That's not authentic, Nukes. Shame...
 
I've got my eye on those Mexican Fender mustangs. I find the Americans goofy looking because the pickups don't match.

The problem with the 40 years of vintage smoke damage is while the color takes that long, the player doesn't live that long.
Because of the smoke.
