I've recently taken up an interest in the Street Fighter series again and have been playing SF3 quite a bit. Parrying, or manual blocking, is an advanced skill in SF3 where, with a movement of the joystick/d-pad, you negate an oncoming attack and take no damage from it. In order to parry well you have to time your movement so that your parry is executed at the exact time the attack hits. This is even more difficult because the timing changes based on the distance and type of attack. I'm a novice at it, and can only parry one, occasionally two attacks in a row. I'm explaining all this so that those who have no experience with SF3 may actually think this video is moderately entertaining , anyway here it is...

edit: My Ken battling skillz are hydroglysemicemetrical, on that's on the real.

That clip, though old, is still quite fun to watch. :) Makes me want to go play that damned game now, though.

Yup, good ole' SF Evo Tourney's - how many dorks can you cram into a bingo hall to play street fighter? Daigo is a bad ass, and if anyone thinks parrying is easy with an arcade stick, it IS easier but If you want to get anal, what Daigo did would never be easy, because the rhythm breaks up between the 7th and 8th hits (when Chun-Li switches legs), and he had position himself and time just right to be able to combo like he did after parrying the last hit. Regardless, the timing is very strict.

oh yeah and Knyte you should check out: http://www.shoryuken.com/

I've been thinking about getting one of those double X-Arcade sticks and building a MAME rig. Thanks for the site link.

I'm rarely a commander now. Still trying to fathom getting the knife award

I haven't played BF2 in months, just haven't had interest. I've never even seen Special Forces.
