It could be Sainz. Could be Hulkenburg.

I would love to see Danny in a top car again, but I'm not sure how well he'd like being a #2 driver to someone he could beat. Plus Ferrari are horrible with #2 drivers. Just ask Kimi.
IDK how they would justify a #2 slot for Danny though.

Their going in position has usually been "they're equals until crunch time" since Schumacher retired anyway.

Looks like Sainz got the nod. Apparently Ricciardo is signing with McLaren for 2021.

ouch. I would have bet the opposite would have happened.
McLaren might soon be a top team again now they'll be running a merc engine.

And this might also turn into one of the silliest silly seasons ever with around 16 contracts running out at the end of the year.

We'll see. Given Williams' "off the back of the grid" performance with Mercedes motors since 2014, I have my doubts.

Williams are a sad story indeed. However the engines aren't just drop in ready from the manufacturer. A lot of work is do e by each team to the engine before it's ready to run.

I would not be surprised to see McLaren get a hand full of podiums next season.

6 years is a long time to come to terms, is all I'm saying.

I do hope I'm wrong though - it would be nice to see McLaren come back to form.

If you're talking about Williams over the last 6 years, then yeah, you're right. However they have huge internal issues, one oif which I think is Claire Williams herself.
