Ontopic So yeah, I had heart surgery

Today marks one month out from surgery :happy:

Recovery plan will be updated on Tuesday when we get a new echo and see his surgeon for followup. Hopefully it will now include things like being able to drive, lift more than 10lbs, and um, other recreational activities :shady:

doubtful on the lifting thing. I had nowhere near as much surgery as valve and I wasn't supposed to lift more than 20lbs for 60 days
 
His discharge orders say no more than 10lbs for 4 weeks post-op, purely as a "sternum precaution". Maybe it's because yours involved more of your core than his? Because that's all he's been able to use to sit/stand, lie down, move around, etc. We're trying not to get too excited in case that doesn't get lifted on Tuesday, but damn it would be a nice step back towards normalcy.
