And this just solidifies my hatred for Apple. I will never ever buy an apple product ever again.

what mistake? dollars to donuts this is a viral marketing scheme and they're fully willing to ruin someone's life and reputation to generate a bit more buzz

I'd buy that.

Apple's a bunch of paranoid whack-o's
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak wrote a guest post for Gizmodo recently claiming that Apple engineer Gray Powell was not fired for losing an iPhone prototype in March. Wozniak's brief post also tells the tale of how another Apple engineer lost his job for showing off an iPad to Apple's cofounder just hours ahead of the device's April 3 launch. Wozniak's post offers an interesting, albeit brief, look behind the scenes at Apple, and reinforces the stereotype of Apple's deeply paranoid and overly secretive corporate culture.

Well, they did purchase stolen merchandise.

Imagine you were Apple and just released the lamest product ever, now you seem to have a decent product to hawk and some nerdy dick beats you to the punch.

I don't agree with what Gizmodo did and there is a huge backlash against them. But I don't see the need for his house to be searched when he isn't even there and stuff seized when he full admitted to where he got the phone and returned the phone when asked. I think cops should be doing real things like looking for items still stolen or murders and rapists. I'm just old school that way.
