My dad would actually buy my mom one (now that she doesn't have half a dozen kids to tote around) if they were front wheel drive. Rear wheel drive just doesn't cut it here in the winter.

With proper snow tires and some weight in the trunk, she'd do just fine.

I would drive my Jeep all NH winter in 2WD (rear wheel) and was fine once I got proper tires
