Long term, solar and wind probably are better. But sustainable power generation with either are a LONG way off. We can have safe nuclear much closer to now.

Just because your family discount them doesn't mean there aren't a ton of highly educated, intelligent people working on building the actual technology as we speak.

People in the country need to be educated. Plain and simple.
