It's a POS but it was my grandads car so I'm quite sentimental about the old girl.

Manual like pretty much every other car here.

With a manual, you can easily roll start your car. Basically you get the car rolling (slopes help) in neutral, then you jump in, put the car in gear (1st), and then pop the clutch (release clutch quickly).

I was tempted to try that but was scared it might not work and would block up my road (we all double park) and men would be angry with me. Also my boyfriend has a bad back at the moment so can't help me out pushing stuff if needed.

If you're going to push start a car, use second or third gear. First gear has a retardedly high ratio and will jar the engine potentially causing damage to the motor mounts. Ask me how I know. :-/

I've always done it with first gear.. With numerous types of cars also..
