So... Live 8

Bryan Ferry played in Berlin, other than that the rest of the music was rubbish. Not that I care, just a bunch of smelly socialists wanting something else to whine about.

Very true. It's a shame that they had such a wonderful opportunity to draw attention to a cause and do some good. Instead they whined about the US. Sting and his 'Every Breath You Take' We'll be watching you blah blah blah :blah:

As if Puff Daddy didn't ruin that song enough, Sting decided to piss all over it once more. And Sting... a philanthropist? There is no larger example in the world of a more inflated ego than that bell end.
Currently they're all rioting in Edinburgh over it, I for one don't want any 3rd world debt forgot about. Our countries have to pay it all back, why don't they?
A ballpark figure of around 85% Plus of all the money generated from the last Live Aid went to governments to buy weapons and company cars for their workers.

MTV did all of the artists the great justice of cutting to commercial before the song was over EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME. They'd be up their jamming and suddenly someone's selling you Advil. It was a joke, and if I were one of the artists I would boycott and ridicule that piece of shit station.

 niiiiice. That just goes to show how big of a whore MTV is. They'll sell out on anything.

Isn't that always the case with every humanitarian effort like that?
Pretty much, but everyone feels so horrible about it all that they throw money at the cause. It never helps though

They got you hooked. now go out and buy the DVD when its for sale. EMI demands you to do it! No doubt Viacom is getting a chunk for the camera work too.

One thing I can say about Canada, is our coverage was amazing.
They showed most of Canada's performers and the highlights of the other countries. I was a loser and pretty much stayed glued to my tv watching (mostly waiting for Floyd)

Anywho- I thought when Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff did the Fresh Prince theme song was AMAZING
My whole house was singing.

Green Day was awesome too.
Actually I was pretty impressed with all the performances I saw.
