obi-wan was in his late teens, at least, in the first movie. second movie, anakin was the same same. third movie, how much time has past? obi-wan was at least close to forty by attack of the clones. so say twenty years pass, anakin would be at the same age obi-wan was in the previous movie. obi-wan is better than sixty by a new hope, conservatively. dont know what the time frame is for the new movie, but its possible

Only 3 years in between the 2nd and 3rd.... so I guess it all boils down to how old he was to start with.


edit- 32 years between Episode 1 and Episode 4

NERD EDIT- according to this http://www.answers.com/topic/obi-wan-kenobi he's 57 years old. Sure hope when I'm 57 I don't look like a fucking fossil

I'd much rather know why NO ONE remembers the droids.

You'd think Obi Wan would at least say "Oh, shit yeah ladies! This is R2-D2...saved our ass when we were escaping Naboo on the queen's Nubian space-craft, bitches!"

Or Darth Vader seeing C-3P0 and saying. "Damn, that's right...I remember building you!"

um, the droids names are model numbers. meaning an infinite number of droids with the same appearance and name could be possible.

C3-PO was a custom built droid, though. I thought he was made from spare parts and lots of love.

I would say he was in his early twenties in the first one. 10 years passed between the first and second putting him in his early thirties. 3 years pass between the second and third one, making him mid to late 30's. So yeah, late 50's sounds about right for episode 4.

If he's so custom, why do you see another C3 in Empire when they're wandering around Bespin? IIRC there's also shots of them on Hoth and in Jabba's palace.

Theres quite a few of them actually. Thats why I think all this "anakin built C3-PO" bullshit should have never been introduced.

Don't the jedi's enter something called hypertime when they move fast/run fast? The more you use the force the faster you would age. Obi would have to use the force a lot to evade the empire for so long. Eventually it would catch up with him. That would also explain how the emperor looks so darn old.
