WTF So I just dick'd my butt

Got boostered AND flu shot yesterday morning - yes, feeling like crap. Mainly real sore and headachy. I originally got Pfizer, got Moderna for the boost. They say folks who have a mix had the highest antibody response(good). Either that or my dick falls off.

You need some Cialis? I don't really use it.
Stockpiling drugs- old behaviors.

That's the idea. About every 10th performance is disappointing.
Therefore one can extrapolate eventual diminishing returns.
Shits expensive, and insurance covers it.
Nobody keeps me from a good time.
Did they go through the whole "your testosterone is ng/dl is .1% what someone at your age in 1970 had" spiel?

FWIW: they tried me out on some testosterone that I inject in my butt every week, and I don't notice even a lick of difference.

that sounds like something that people in the 1970s did just drove testosterone through the roof, cigarettes or something of the like. Thats why all the high schoolers looked 30.

So booster and flu shot, 10 a.m. Thursday. Felt crappy going into the evening. woke up wondering "will I feel worse?". Nope, took a hot shower, ate some breakfast, worked on my new vehicle for an hour, ran errands, came home, and made a pan of apple crisp. Feels like me and a buddy each took a good shoulder punch at the other is about it. Or maybe more like 2 hours or straight overhead work. Achy but it will pass.

I have an interesting relationship with my "job". I'm 1099 MISC so I don't have a traditional boss.

Except for the head dispatcher Louie DePalma. Louie likes power and control.
Passover week was slow per usual. Louie calls me up at 15:30 just as my finger was hovering over the logout button..."hey what are you doing? (I'm about to go hang out with my family)..."ahhd like ta give ya the specimen route in York SC which begins at 17:30!!!"
Silence.
Me- "so what you're asking of me Is to voluntarily NOT earn money until 17:30 then slave until 20:00 and get home at 21:00 for a measly $50 gross? No thanks, I'll continue to hit the logout button and go home".
Louie plays a real shit poker hand...
He's definitely my Newman.

how do unions work in the USA?
has anyone here been a union rep or anything like that

asking for a friend (for reals)
there is a lot of variation in how unions actually function here, some unions are legit and some are worthless, but I'm not sure what specifically you're looking for

they're typically large-scale industry-specific, so like the John Deere workers are part of the United Auto Workers union (UAW) and then they're specifically members of a local union hall that might represent their specific physical area and/or subsector. showbiz folks are typically in International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) and then their locals are broken down by location and by specific type of job.

What @august said: that's a very broad question. Can you narrow it down?

Unions get you better compensated, improve working conditions, and are legally required to fight for your job.

But some are shitty fighters. Union reps that work for same employer as you are a good example of people who often suck badly at fighting for you. Teacher's unions use teacher's in your building as "rep" - they think a fellow teacher is going to go to the mat for them. No!
