Mr. Argumentor
I fab shitboxes and shitbox accessories.
I don't have a postcard but a despot is merely an absolute ruler, a tyrant is also cruel and oppressive.
Vetinari never struck me as cruel. Ruthless maybe

If women leaving the homes has an effect on raising children and family values, why dont men leaving the home cause that?
Also, weak argument in anycase, roughly 1% citizens are in the US's military, less than half of those people are going to be women, probably 1/4 of THEM will be infantry.
Less than an 8th of 1% of American women going to war is going to fuck all for family values.
It wasn't blank. It was full of military secrets written in invisible ink.
Oh so THATS how he got it into enemy territory.
Cunning.
Vetinari was a benevolent dictator.
Yeah, speak for yourself. Once again it seems like because I don't prescribe to the empathetic, maternal society subscribed gender roles I am not 'a woman'. I wish people would stop pretending men are a certain way and women are a certain way, THIS is why young boys and girls commit suicide, pushing this damn agenda on them and pigeon holing them as if they should live up to this desired expectation that is forced on them since birth. Maybe people should be examining that more.
Also complete bullshit, and historically only a recent phenomena. Women were warriors in the past, women raised armies and fought in wars, when men were off in wars who do you think protected the villages?

By the same token, everyone has a right to say that you are wrong. So why challenge their beliefs?I have a right to say that I think they are choosing wrong.
Did you stop reading with that sentence or something? I think I said that it was just my personal opinion and I wasn't trying to force it on anyone else. Back off. MOST WOMEN historically have stayed home with the children.
There will always be exceptions and I'm really okay with that. I just think it's gone too far the other way. I don't feel oppressed by staying home and taking care of my kid. I feel liberated. I feel like I'm doing the most challenging, fun, important and rewarding job I've ever done. It's a 24/7 job and I get no vacation and I deal with more whining in one day then you probably hear all year in your office, but it's still awesome. I just think kids need more attention then they are getting and I don't understand why people have kids and then pay other people to raise their kids. Nobody forced me to be here though. My husband and I chose this because we want the best possible life for our child and we don't think that's a life where she spends 8-10 hours a day with someone else while I go out and raise just enough money to pay for that childcare. This is all my choice though. I get that. Everyone has a right to their own choices. I have a right to say that I think they are choosing wrong.

Unless you don't agree with the masses, your opinion is irrational around here....
