it wouldn't normally be bad, but like @nukes pointed out, the diverticula are currently really angry & inflamed, so particularly bulky turds can cause greater irritation/pain. it could even put enough pressure on them to cause a rupture. as inflamed as the diverticula are, there isn't really anything to be gained by bulking up your turds because often the opening to the diverticula are swollen shut, so it doesn't help scrub the junk out but it does add friction and pressure to an already tender area.

How does someone as high profile as Whitey Bulger get killed in prison? It’s like Oz is real life or something. He wasn’t in some kind of protective custody?
