GAY RELUBRICANTS Where are you now? lulz

Obama already did this. a tiny tax break for every full timer you add.

This is the equivalent of telling you that we'll give you a onetime $200 tax credit if you spend $20,000 on solar cells for your house.

it doesn't work for the simple reason in that it doesn't make sense to spend so much for so little return.

obama is practicing 'economic rationing' and it's not working. How did you not get the memo?

ooohhhhh, gov't contract. Check the civilian side.

No that's hardly a tax break. I'm talking about the equivalent amount in tax breaks per X amount of jobs as the Bush tax cuts amount to. That gives tax breaks to people who will actually create jobs.

:waw:

did you even look at the graph?
did you see how they shortened the recession?
unemployment went down.

Have you seen how obama has not employed any tax breaks similar to kennedy, reagan, & bush and the resulting economy obama and his congress created?

Sorry to inform you but Obama didn't collapse the economy. Bush did.

I don't think Bush did it alone though. Clinton, Daddy Bush and Reagan all had their hands in this one too. I can't imagine there being anyone on planet earth who could do a good job at being president of the US right now. I don't think it is possible. It took a long time to get us here and it is going to take a longer time to get us out of here. Expecting Obama to do it overnight is ludicrous. At least he's trying. At least he's looking at the future and recognizing that we need to be progressive in the long term rather than just the short term.

job creation does not work this way. there is no possible way for it TO work this way.

Jobs are created when profit is made, not tax breaks gained on TOP of writing off the employees salary as an expense. The business owner doesn't pay taxes on the money he has to pay the new employee other than his share of employment tax (7.5%). The new employee is a total write off as far as expenses is concerned. The problem with you plan is it doesn't look to increase profitability in the company. The employer does that. A onetime tax break isn't going to cure unemployment because the taxes saved won't be that much.

How much of a tax break are you going to give a business to hire a guy at 100K?

You're right. You are exactly right. Also dumb enough not to see me leading you here.

OK. So you blame Bush. In the last two years Obama made a bigger mess of it all the while pointing at bush. If people thought he was doing a good job the morning of 11/3 would have looked a lot different.

did you see how spectacularly he &Nancy & harry are fucking up getting the economy back on track?

he's the red line.

I for one am glad he's finally moving away from the far left.

You can't achieve anything without trying first. If someone has the definitive answer, a way to fix everything without screwing anyone, then they should really speak up right away. I'm sure that everyone would be all for it.

Are you one of those that believes socialism hasn't worked every single time it's been tried solely because the right people haven't done it yet?

Wait a minute, I thought Obama took office in January of 2009 and now it is 2011. I'm struggling to see where a chart that talks about what happened in 2007 has anything to do with President Obama.

Huh? What in the world are you talking about? Socialism? Well, okay if we are gonna get on that topic, sure, I'll talk about socialism. Nah, nevermind, I won't bother. Since we are pulling random things out of hats, how about some quotes from movies? That'll be fun. Warren Beatty, take it away!

Bullworth: Yo, everybody gonna get sick someday / But nobody knows how they gonna pay / Health care, managed care, HMOs / Ain't gonna work, no sir, not those / 'Cause the thing that's the same in every one of these / Is these motherfuckers there, the insurance companies!
Cheryl and Tanya: Insurance! Insurance!
Bullworth: Yeah, yeah / You can call it single-payer or Canadian way / Only socialized medicine will ever save the day! Come on now, lemme hear that dirty word - SOCIALISM!

I think this is the most sensible post in the entire thread. Period.

The reality is someone is going to get screwed, it's just a matter of who. When situations are this messed up, they can't be set to right without someone losing something... right now nobody wants to lose anything, in fact there are those who are still trying to get more. It's an impossible situation.
